After the successful CEEMAS conferences in St. Petersburg (1999), Cracow (2001) and Prague (2003), the CEEMAS Steering Committee decided that the next CEEMAS conference would take place in Budapest. This will continue the tradition that CEEMAS conferences always take place in the Central and Eastern European region. The programme committee of the conference series consists of well known researchers from the region and renowned international colleagues, showing the prominent rank of CEEMAS among the leading events in multi-agent systems. With its particular geographical focus, CEEMAS has become an internationally recognised event. The conference proceedings are planned to be published by Springer Verlag in the LNAI series as before. The last conference in Prague was dedicated to bridging the gap between applied research achievements and the theoretical research activities including networks of excellence, thematic clusters, large-scale test beds and standardisation efforts. The new initiatives in the USA and the Framework 6 programme of the European Union are changing the research landscape in the area of agents and multi-agent systems. We expect that in the future more and more details of the general frameworks, standardisation specifications, test bed environments and application scenarios will be worked out, therefore we intend to dedicate CEEMAS'05 to the fundamental research and application results of particular agent technology related problems in the wide area of scalable and reconfigurable multi-agent, service oriented and grid architectures, game theory, as well as in application scenarios of design and manufacturing, transport and logistics, military and space applications, tourism industry, e-commerce and many other areas. We welcome agent related meetings to be co-located with CEEMAS'05, so that many agent and multi-agent researchers can meet in Budapest in September 2005. Download the call for papers from the download area and distribute it in your organisation. There is time until September 2005. Until then take a virtual tour in Budapest and Hungary to get a feeling of what you will be able to visit when you attend CEEMAS'05. You find practical information on planning the trip in the travel information and the useful links section. Stay tuned and visit regularly this web site to learn the latest news. |
